Is it manslaughter of any kind?
« on: May 29, 2007, 09:32:45 PM »

What if a minor was driving without a license or any kind of permit to drive and they were intoxicated with alcohol they obtained from a parent's collection? There was another minor in the vehicle when the driver crashed (ran a stop/red light) in the middle of the night (2 something in the morning) and a pick up truck slammed into the side of the sedan and both ended up in the hospital in critical condition while the passenger didn't survive it?

Is this criminal negligence? Recklessness or willful blindness? Or would it be vehicular manslaughter? It was involuntary so that counts for something in the person's favor, right?

Could someone just analyze it and give me an opinion and what would be a reasonable punishment for it?

Thanks
