Lafave's Plea Deal Rejected By Florida Judge In Sex Case

Background: Debra Lafave had plead guilty in November to having sex with a male minor both in her classroom and home. Specifically, to two counts of lewd and lascivious battery.

She was sentenced in that matter.

In what appears to be a second case, the judge rejected a new plea agreement, despite requests from lawyers on both sides of this case, because it would "erode public confidence in our schools."

Lafave is newly married and 25 years old.
