i was wondering what the divorce/separation laws are in Louisiana. there is a situation that i have been dealing with and it is a hard one too. The man that i have been seeing for the past 5mo has been separated from his wife for a yr now the divorce was supposed to finalized on the 19Jan10 and it wasn't since they had another child together and had to do something with that. but it had gotten to the point where she is telling him that in order for him to see his kids he has to move out of the apt and back into his house which i dont have a problem with. the problem is that he has to break up with me, and never speak to me again.neither one of us want this to happen. since i have been with him she has kept the kids from him and he is only allowed to see them on her time she is playing games with him and he has to go by them or no kids. i also dont understand why its no ok for him to be seeing someone but its ok for her to go out and mess around with other guys.he wont speak up and say anything since her whole family works for a law firm so i decided to i am getting sick of this cuz it is hurting all of us. i didn't do anything wrong for this to happen. they have been married 7yrs and lived together for a total of 6mo she refused to move to whatever state he was stationed in. she refuses to leave louisiana and her home town. i want to know if she is allowed to do what she is doing with the kids i know they have joint custody but she will not let him see them unless we are apart. his ex wife is civilian and we are both military so i am not sure if i should be asking a civilian lawyer or a military one for this so i just decided to post something on here to see what i get for an answer. Thank you, upset and aggravated
