Removing a name from a deed

okay here is our situation, my new husband bought a house in 1996 with his then current girlfriend. They both filed bankruptcy he filed chapter 13 and she filed chapter 7. He has made all the house payments and she has not lived in the house for over 10 years. We have no idea where she is at now so how do we get her name off the deed for the house?
