getting custody back from the ex
« on: June 16, 2009, 11:15:40 AM »

My husbands ex has custody of their son.
She is now facing a prision sentence for "criminal sexual asualt of a minor"  Yea you wouldn't think that this would be that hard to get my step-son back.
She has been jumping all around the state for almost 2years with us not able to find her or his son.
When we got word that this had happened we looked online in public records and sure enough!  So we immediately called DCFS to find out the status of this case, their responce was " We don't have a case open" so we asked " You don't at least remove the other children" They said " Not at this time" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!
So we have been looking for her hard core for about 6 weeks since we found this out and last night by the grace of god we found her.  We were dirving around some of her old neighborhoods and there was her old car so we stoped and it was actually her mothers car now but she told us where she was now.
She goes to court Tommorrow! I was told that he needed to get custody at that same hearing!

HOW OR WHAT DO I HAVE TO FILE TO GET THIS ACCOMPLISHED!
