My 8 month old son's dad is in prison, what should i do about visitation...
« on: May 17, 2009, 05:39:13 PM »

I have a big problem, me and the father of my son was never married when i got pregnant. But now my son's dad is in prision till 2014. He keeps asking me in letters and asking his parents to ask me to bring him up there to see him. I don't know if i should take him or not. I didnt do anything to him to get him put in prison. I need some advice on what I should do and what could his dad do if i didnt bring his son up there to see him. Please reply back to this post.

My personal oppionion is that you should not take you son to see his father in prison.  You have to do what is in the best interst of your child and good news for you is so does the court system.  Write letters, draw pictures talk on the phone.  He does not actually have to see his father face to face ( OR through glass) to have a relationship with him!
