Hi:
On Aug. 9th, family drove from MI to Fla. for along awaited vacation. On the 12th we were going to the car, stepped off curb in hotel parking lot right into a storm drain. There storm drains aren't like MI they're not grated they extent a good foot from the curb and angle back to the curb at a good 30 degree angle. When I stepped first with my left foot I thought on to the parking lot I must have hit the angle because my foot buckled in and I tried to catch myself on the car next to ours, brought down my right foot an hit half flat surface and rest on angle. That one buckled in and ended up twisted in the curb drain. The ambulance and fire truck came, went to emergency room. Left ankle fractured twice(casted) and needed to be seen by ortho.(when we got home thurs.) right one sprained and in air cast. Crutches given and sent on way. And also found this funny told no pressure on either. Had surgery the 19th of Aug.,4 pins in ankle, 2 need to be removed. Going on 5th week of in bed foot elevated, off work. Does anyone think I have a case against the mouse? And if so need lawyer in Macomb Mi that does Fla. cases. When 911 was called in parking lot(they must monitor their air ways) a mousketter came an gave us his card, gave him my name and address room #. Still haven't heard from them. Thanks in advance for any advice given.
