My gf and I recently bought a car maybe 2 weeks ago. As we were doing the deal, we couldnt reach an agreement with one of the salesmen, so another guy approached as and told us that he was one of the owners of the business. The name of this car dealer is Gary Smith Ford. So as time goes on, we finally reach and agreement and close on the deal. Before we left that night he gave us a business card and signed his name on it as saying Daniel Smith. He had said "youd think being an owner, Id have my own cards. Well I do, theyre just in my office and I dont want to get them." Well 10 days later, the car breaks down. Long story short, in the process of trying to get the dealer to agree to pay for the car, we come to find that this Daniel Smith isnt an owner at all, just some sales guy that claimed he was. So i went back and checked a signed agreement that he had between my gf and himself, and sure enough, he signed his name as something completely different. Since talking to the dealer, its been a nightmare, everyone we dealt with except the exception of one random lady that got caught up, has been extremely rude and difficult to talk to. We just want to give the car back and be done with this whole situation. My question is then, because this Daniel had misrepresented himself when we signed the contract, and i have the written proof, is this grounds for breaking this contract and giving the car back? Sorry for the long story.
